DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are searching for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for streamlining our development operations, enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud infrastructure for application deployment.
• Develop automation scripts for routine operational tasks.
• Partner with development teams to ensure smooth deployments.
• Utilize Kubernetes or Docker for container orchestration.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies that enhance productivity.
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance.
• Prepare documentation for system installations and configurations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 5+ years in a DevOps role

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Jenkins

Soft Skills

• Effective communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Experience working in Agile teams.
• Scripting experience with Python or Bash: Proficient in scripting for automation purposes.
