Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our Port Elizabeth team. In this role, you will handle support requests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that IT systems are functioning efficiently. The ideal candidate is proactive, enjoys problem-solving and has a knack for customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff.
  • Assist users in maximizing technology utilization.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Provide remote support using various tools and software.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all support requests.
  • Perform hardware repairs and upgrades on systems.
  • Coordinate vendor support for specialized IT equipment.
  • Review and implement necessary IT policies.
  • Contribute ideas for improving support services.
  • Create user manuals and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Additional IT certifications are advantageous
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in related support roles
