Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Herpetologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research on reptiles and amphibians, developing conservation plans, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective wildlife management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field surveys to assess the distribution and abundance of reptiles and amphibians.
  • Document and report on findings to inform conservation strategies.
  • Create educational materials and engage with the public and stakeholders.
  • Manage databases related to herpetological research and monitor data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with ecological restoration teams to integrate wildlife considerations.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for team members and interns.
  • Publish research findings in relevant scientific journals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Zoology or related field
  • Master's degree in Conservation Biology is preferred
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in wildlife conservation and research specific to reptiles and amphibians
