SOC Analyst

Job Description

As a SOC Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our cybersecurity operations in Pretoria. This position involves analyzing security incidents, implementing preventative measures, and collaborating with various teams to enhance our response capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and correlate security events using SIEM tools.
• Investigate incidents and facilitate thorough root cause analysis.
• Assist in the development of incident response plans.
• Conduct frequent health checks on security posture.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Create action plans to mitigate security risks.
• Participate in regular security awareness training.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a SOC role or similar position
