Dry Room Operator

Job Description

As a Dry Room Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of our drying room facility. You will monitor various parameters to ensure optimal production conditions while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor drying conditions and adjust settings as necessary.
• Conduct troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with the Production Manager to meet production goals.
• Assist in the development of operational procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the drying room.
• Participate in safety and compliance audits.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain effective communication with team members regarding production status.

Requirements

Education

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent
• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Data acquisition systems (DAS)
• Lean Six Sigma methods

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Quality Control Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC): Knowledge of SPC tools and techniques to monitor and control process performance.
• Experience with root cause analysis (RCA): Familiarity with techniques to identify the cause of faults or problems.
