Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. This role involves managing financial accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a passion for numbers, playing a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial reporting process on a monthly and annual basis.
• Manage bookkeeping activities and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Liaise with tax authorities to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Provide financial insights to assist in strategic decision-making.
• Review and improve accounting systems and procedures.
• Assist in training junior accounting staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a relevant accounting position

• Budgeting and Forecasting

• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with IFRS: Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Previous auditing experience: Experience with internal and external audits.
