Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Building Inspector to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections on construction projects to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Responsibilities

• Inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to review construction plans for compliance.
• Document findings and prepare summaries for management review.
• Train and mentor junior inspectors on compliance procedures.
• Assist in the development of safety programs and initiatives.
• Provide feedback to management regarding potential areas for improvement.
• Ensure all inspections are conducted in a timely manner.
• Work closely with project managers to address any compliance-related concerns.
• Compile data for statistical reporting on compliance trends.
• Develop positive relationships with clients and contractors to promote compliance awareness.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Building and Construction or related field
• BTech in Civil Engineering or related field is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in building compliance and inspection
