Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer who is passionate about designing and overseeing construction projects in the vibrant city of Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering principles and be able to work efficiently on various projects, from residential developments to large-scale infrastructure works.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Develop and implement innovative engineering practices.
• Ensure project quality control throughout all phases of construction.
• Work closely with municipal officials to acquire necessary permits.
• Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering

• AutoCAD
• SAP2000
• Microsoft Project
• Road Design
• Infrastructure Development

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with environmental regulations: Knowledge of South African environmental laws and regulations is beneficial.
• Experience with large-scale projects: Previous experience managing large-scale civil engineering projects is a plus.
