Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Durban. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. Your expertise will be vital in performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks on equipment performance and functionality.
• Develop maintenance schedules to enhance equipment efficiency.
• Order and maintain inventory of necessary tools and parts.
• Work alongside other departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Evaluate and implement new maintenance technologies.
• Assist in budget management for maintenance supplies and resources.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Degree in Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience

Technical Skills

• Preventative Maintenance
• Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Adaptability

• HVAC Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
