Family Medicine Practitioner

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, with a focus on preventive medicine and chronic disease management. You will work collaboratively with a group of healthcare professionals to provide excellent service to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform health screenings and immunizations.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments.
• Advise patients on lifestyle changes and health improvement strategies.
• Assess and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Implement healthcare plans and review patient progress.
• Manage practice operations, including patient scheduling and follow-ups.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding their health conditions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine is an advantage

Experience

• At least 5 years practice as a Family Medicine Practitioner
