Product Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join our Durban team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling and user-centered designs across various digital platforms. You will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure the final product aligns with user needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Define and uphold design principles and strategies.
• Build high-quality prototypes to demonstrate design concepts.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
• Coordinate with developers during implementation to ensure design accuracy.
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring junior designers.
• Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of design solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design

Technical Skills

• Figma
• Responsive Design

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• UX Design Certification from Nielsen Norman Group
• Adobe Certified Expert

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Agile development methodologies: Hands-on experience in Agile practices in software development.
• Familiarity with design systems: Knowledge of design systems and their effective implementation in projects.
