Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of chemical processes.
• Run simulations and modeling to predict the behavior of processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers for the procurement of raw materials.
• Perform troubleshooting on existing chemical processes.
• Prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations.
• Involve in continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency.
• Evaluate new technologies that may enhance production capabilities.
• Support environmental sustainability initiatives at the plant.
• Work with marketing to translate technical capabilities to product features.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry

Certifications

• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Registered
