Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects in Durban. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in project management, scheduling, and resource allocation, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of construction projects from initiation to closure.
• Prepare project budgets and track expenses.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Implement project management best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure quality control is maintained throughout the construction process.
• Lead project meetings and reporting sessions.
• Facilitate communication between subcontractors and the main contractor.
• Stay updated with industry trends and construction methodologies.
• Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of safety and professionalism.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Management qualifications are an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management
