Job Description

As a Sustainable Architecture Consultant, you will be instrumental in delivering environmentally responsible solutions within our architectural projects. Your role will encompass assessing building designs, recommending sustainable practices, and collaborating with our design teams to ensure green compliance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze building regulations and codes for sustainable compliance.
• Implement innovative green architecture strategies.
• Lead sustainability assessments and advise on certifications.
• Develop partnerships with eco-friendly suppliers.
• Monitor project budgets to incorporate sustainable materials effectively.
• Attend industry conferences to enhance professional knowledge.
• Engage with local communities to promote sustainability awareness.
• Research new technologies in sustainable architecture.
• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals for green projects.
• Guide project teams to integrate sustainable design solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Architecture, Environmental Design, or related field
• Master's preferred

Experience

• 6+ years in sustainable design and project management

Technical Skills

• Energy Efficiency Design

Certifications

• Certified Sustainable Design Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in International Projects: Knowledge of global standards and practices in sustainable architecture.
• Fluency in Afrikaans or isiXhosa: Ability to communicate in South African languages is a plus.
