Job Description

As a Mining Engineer in Kimberley, you will be responsible for designing mining operations and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to. You will lead project teams and collaborate with geology experts to optimize resource extraction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily mining operations and adapt plans as required.
• Work closely with the health and safety team to ensure mine safety.
• Supervise the installation and maintenance of mining equipment.
• Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment.
• Review and analyze production data to inform decision-making.
• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising safety.
• Conduct training sessions for site personnel on best practices.
• Engage with local communities to foster good relations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and expenditure reports.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mining engineering or a related field
