Environmental Permitting Specialist

Job Description

As an Environmental Permitting Specialist, your key role will be to navigate the complexities of environmental legislation and ensure that all projects comply with regulatory requirements. You'll be at the forefront of assessing impacts and developing effective mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the project teams and regulatory authorities to facilitate the permitting process.
• Prepare environmental management plans that align with project objectives and legislative requirements.
• Conduct reviews of environmental assessments completed by third-party consultants.
• Assist in the development of risk management strategies for environmental compliance.
• Lead initiative in environmental awareness and sustainability efforts across projects.
• Prepare and maintain environmental documentation for auditing purposes.
• Oversee and improve the environmental performance tracking system.
• Advise on sustainable practices and their implementation across various projects.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Participate in the development of policies and procedures regarding environmental compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental permitting, environmental impact assessments, or related area

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)

Languages
