Civil Engineer

Job Description

Looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Cape Town office. You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers and architects on projects focused on roadworks, drainage, and structural integrity. The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to innovation and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil infrastructures.
• Conduct impact assessments for proposed projects.
• Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure all approvals are secured.
• Analyze construction methods to improve project efficiency.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on technical issues.
• Ensure all engineering designs are up to date with industry standards.
• Prepare presentations for client meetings and project briefs.
• Train and mentor engineering interns and junior staff.
• Evaluate proposals from contractors and support bid selection process.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to foster team collaboration.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Reinforced Concrete Design
• Traffic Engineering

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
