Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Clinical Psychologist to provide therapy and support to individuals facing mental health challenges in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose mental health conditions through interviews and tests.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to clients in a supportive environment.
• Create and implement customized treatment plans.
• Work alongside other mental health professionals to coordinate care.
• Document treatment sessions and client progress effectively.
• Contribute to mental health education and awareness initiatives.
• Conduct research to enhance therapeutic approaches.

Requirements

Education

• Master's in Clinical Psychology
• Doctorate preferred

Experience

• 2+ years post-qualification experience

Technical Skills

• Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
• Group Therapy Facilitation

Soft Skills

• Active Listening
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Registered Clinical Psychologist (RCP)
• Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Proficiency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate with clients in various languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices: Experience in providing therapy via online platforms.
