Bleaching Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Bleaching Machine Operator to operate and maintain our cutting-edge bleaching machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality checks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring production records are meticulously maintained.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the bleaching process and make necessary adjustments.
• Handle basic repairs and maintenance of machinery when needed.
• Keep the work area organized and free of hazards.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to maintenance staff.
• Actively participate in production team meetings.
• Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Compile production statistics and report them weekly.
• Ensure all chemicals are handled and stored safely.
• Assist in reducing waste during the bleaching process.
• Comply with environmental regulations related to textile processing.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Technical certificate in textiles preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role within textile manufacturing

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Bleaching Chemicals
• Reading Technical Manuals

Soft Skills

• Good Communication Skills
• Time Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Experience with Natural Fibers: Hands-on experience working with natural fibers like cotton and linen.
• Forklift Operator License: Possession of a valid forklift operator license is an advantage.
