Job Description

A Ferryboat Operator is responsible for operating and navigating a ferryboat across waterways, transporting passengers and cargo between designated locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in marine navigation and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-departure checks for safety and operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with environment regulations to prevent marine pollution.
• Supervise loading operations, ensuring safe stowage of cargo.
• Train and coordinate with crew members for efficient operations.
• Respond to passenger queries and complaints with professionalism.
• Report weather conditions and any unforeseen issues to the operations manager.

Requirements

Education

• Radio Operator's Certificate
• Additional maritime certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 2-5 years in ferry operations or related maritime experience.
