Non-Destructive Testing Specialist

Job Description

As a Non-Destructive Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and identifying corroded areas on equipment and facilities. You will design and implement corrosion control measures to maintain safety and operational functionality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and structures to detect defects and irregularities.
• Document findings and develop strategies for corrosion mitigation.
• Maintain and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in training junior technicians on proper testing procedures.
• Conduct field tests and inspections to assess material integrity.
• Apply protective coatings and surface treatments to prevent corrosion.
• Work with project managers to integrate corrosion control measures in project plans.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current corrosion control strategies.
• Report discrepancies and suggest solutions to improve processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in corrosion control or related disciplines
