Job Description

Join us as an Insurance Underwriter, where you will assess risks and determine appropriate coverage for clients. Your analytical skills will ensure our clients receive the best possible products tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client data to evaluate risk factors and exposure.
  • Decide on coverage terms and conditions for insureds.
  • Collaborate with agents for policy improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Monitor industry developments and competitors’ offerings.
  • Educate clients on coverage options and provide exceptional service.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
  • Review and recommend improvements to underwriting processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Insurance
  • Additional qualification in risk management is an advantage
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the insurance sector, preferably in underwriting roles

Certifications
  • Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) certification

  • Bilingual proficiency: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
