Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing primary care and ensuring the well-being of patients in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ medical histories and conduct examinations.
• Manage ongoing care for chronic diseases.
• Implement preventive health measures and screenings.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in developing community health initiatives.
• Provide support and guidance to junior medical staff.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience

• Emergency Care

Certifications

• HPCSA Registration
• Family Medicine Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR): Experience in using EHR systems for patient management.
