We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical principles and will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of mechanical projects.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and interns.
• Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and simulations of mechanical systems.
• Work with suppliers to ensure quality materials are sourced for projects.
• Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures and propose solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in mechanical design and development

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Thermodynamics

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Engineering Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
