Doctor (General Practitioner)

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Doctor (General Practitioner) to join our healthcare team in Durban. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients, performing physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to enhancing patient well-being and health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient appointments and follow-ups efficiently.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Use diagnostic tools and tests to aid in patient care.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Assist in developing treatment protocols and healthcare policies.
• Conduct outreach programs for health education in the community.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes.
• Participate in research and clinical trials as appropriate.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient data.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
• Postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine or related field are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a primary care setting
