Job Description

As an Urban Planner at Urban Development Corp., you will have the opportunity to influence the future of Pretoria’s urban landscape. Your tasks will include the design and execution of projects aimed at improving urban quality of life, engaging in environmental assessments, and collaborating closely with local authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of urban planning projects from initiation to completion.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather feedback and insights.
  • Develop policies that reflect sustainable urban development goals.
  • Ensure that all plans align with environmental conservation efforts.
  • Evaluate plans for economic viability and impact on local communities.
  • Provide technical expertise on urban design principles and practices.
  • Clarify urban planning regulations and guidelines to clients.
  • Assist in project budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Document all phases of the urban planning process for transparency.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 4 years in urban or regional planning
