IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This role entails providing comprehensive support and administration within our IT department. You will act as the first line of defense for technical issues and will ensure all systems run smoothly, offering solutions and guidance to our users.

Responsibilities

• Assist users with connectivity issues, both hardware and software-related.
• Perform backups and recovery tasks to protect data integrity.
• Document technical processes and user guides.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
• Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding IT usage.
• Provide feedback on user experiences to improve IT services.
• Assist with the configuration of new user workstations.
• Monitor software licenses and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science or IT-related field

Experience

• 3+ years in a technical support role preferred

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Hardware Troubleshooting

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Microsoft Certified: Windows 10

Languages

• English: Fluent
