Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will work on a variety of exciting projects that require innovative design solutions and a solid understanding of building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and calculations using established engineering methods and software.
• Review project proposals and plans, providing structural assessment and recommendations.
• Coordinate with local authorities and submit applications for necessary permits and approvals.
• Ensure that all aspects of the structural design meet safety and functionality standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in structural engineering.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred but not required

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the field of structural engineering

• Revit
• MS Project

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in seismic design: Ability to apply seismic design principles in projects.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations: Knowledgeable in the South African National Standards (SANS).
