Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support our operations in Port Elizabeth. Your responsibilities will include performing inspections, carrying out preventative maintenance, and addressing repair needs as they arise, ensuring that our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations to ensure quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions effectively.
• Update maintenance logs and reports accurately.
• Participate in safety audits and compliance checks.
• Assist in planning and executing scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Support other departments with maintenance-related needs.
• Conduct equipment calibration and adjustments.
• Evaluate spare parts inventory and place orders as necessary.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes.
• Work within a team to meet operational goals and deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Engineering or a related field

Experience

• Minimum 5 years in a maintenance technician role

Technical Skills

• Electromechanical Systems
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
