Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing various infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the required standards and regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scopes and objectives with relevant stakeholders.
• Implement sustainability practices in engineering processes.
• Facilitate team meetings to track project progress and address challenges.
• Prepare technical proposals and present to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure engineering standards are upheld throughout all phases of projects.
• Utilize CAD software for design and analysis.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Foster relationships within the community to support project initiatives.
• Document all engineering processes and decisions appropriately.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects

• Geotechnical Engineering

• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• LEED Green Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM software: Expertise in Building Information Modeling and related technologies.
• Knowledge of local government regulations: Understanding of zoning laws and environmental regulations in South Africa.
