Aerospace Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As part of our team, you will work on innovative aerospace projects, contributing your expertise in design and analysis of aircraft systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in aerospace engineering principles and be equipped to tackle complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Engage in the full lifecycle of aerospace projects from concept through to production.
• Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing for performance validation.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Contribute to safety analyses and risk assessments related to aerospace systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in aerospace projects, with hands-on experience in testing and validation

Technical Skills

• Matlab/Simulink
• System Engineering

Soft Skills

• Strong Communication

Certifications

• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Hands-on experience with composite materials: Knowledge of composite materials and their applications in aerospace engineering.
• Experience with aerospace software tools: Familiarity with software like ANSYS or CATIA for aerospace design and analysis.
