Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize our supply chain operations in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the flow of goods, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring timely deliveries to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics operations and support the team.
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and mitigate them proactively.
• Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to meet client expectations.
• Evaluate potential new logistics providers to enhance service offerings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Certifications in logistics are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in logistics or supply chain management preferred

Technical Skills

• Supply Chain Management Software
• Microsoft Excel

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Fluent in additional South African languages: Proficiency in languages such as Xhosa or Tswana can be beneficial.
• Experience in supplier negotiations: Ability to negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers for better pricing.
