Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Accounting Officer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing financial statements, performing audits, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role demands a meticulous approach to financial operations and a passion for accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Handle payroll processing and associated reporting.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws related to payroll.
• Monitor cash flow and manage financial transactions.
• Participate in the development of internal control processes.
• Liaise with external stakeholders regarding financial queries.
• Prepare management reports to assist in strategic planning.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting software.
• Conduct quarterly audits to ensure financial accuracy.
• Maintain communications with tax authorities as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Professional accounting designation is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting
