Internal Auditor

Job Description

As an Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in safeguarding our organization's assets through comprehensive audits and assessments. You will work closely with various departments to identify areas for improvement while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Develop audit plans to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Conduct interviews and gather evidence during audit fieldwork.
• Prepare summary of audit results for executive management.
• Educate staff on compliance and best auditing practices.
• Support the CFO in strategic financial planning.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant audit experience

Technical Skills

• Risk Assessment
• SAP Systems Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Chartered Accountant (CA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of the South African auditing regulations: Understanding of local compliance standards and regulations.
• Strong IT skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
