Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Aerospace Engineer to enhance our team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and oversight of aerospace products and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects meet specifications and safety regulations, contribute to innovative aerospace solutions, and help drive our commitment to excellence in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate aerospace projects from inception to completion.
• Evaluate engineering methodologies to improve design processes.
• Work on developing innovative solutions for complex aerospace challenges.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and present reports on project status to management.
• Engage in continuous development of technical skills and knowledge.
• Maintain proactive communication with team members and management.
• Conduct research to enhance engineering practices.
• Support training initiatives for junior engineers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace design and development

Technical Skills

• MATLAB
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles: Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing techniques in aerospace.
• Familiarity with International Aerospace Standards: Understanding of ISO and AS9100 standards.
