Construction Site Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Site Supervisor to manage our ongoing projects in Durban. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with various teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily briefing sessions with site workers.
• Review blueprints and project specifications.
• Perform on-site inspections to ensure compliance with the design.
• Monitor progress and report any deviations from the plan.
• Work with health and safety officers to ensure site safety.
• Schedule workforce shifts and manage attendance.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to resolve design issues.
• Provide training and support to new crew members.
• Participate in project meetings and provide site feedback.
• Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Construction Management or Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering will be an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in construction

Certifications

• Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
