Job Description

The Rural Health Consultant role is pivotal in our quest to improve healthcare access in rural South Africa. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of healthcare strategies and be committed to making a tangible impact in the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of rural healthcare systems and staff needs.
  • Draft and implement targeted strategies to tackle rural healthcare challenges.
  • Engage with healthcare professionals to provide ongoing consultancy and support.
  • Assess the effectiveness of rural health programs and suggest actionable improvements.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to promote health access and equity.
  • Monitor and interpret the latest healthcare policies impacting rural settings.
  • Undertake training sessions to develop the expertise of rural health practitioners.
  • Document findings and prepare detailed reports on healthcare initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to influence policy changes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Public Health is an advantage.
Experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in rural healthcare systems.
