Job Description

We are on the lookout for a meticulous Auditor to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and generating comprehensive reports that steer our clients' financial decisions. You will apply your accounting knowledge to detect inaccuracies and propose improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual audits for a diverse set of clients.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in developing audit plans and risk assessments.
• Prepare audit communication materials and findings reports.
• Develop a strong working relationship with clients to ensure cohesion.
• Train and supervise audit interns and junior auditors.
• Follow-up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Regularly participate in team meetings to discuss audit progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business Administration
• Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in auditing or relevant financial position

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• CISA certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Understanding of forensic accounting: Knowledge of practices for identifying fraud and financial discrepancies.
