Job Description

We require a passionate Veterinarian to provide excellent care to animals in Pretoria. You will be responsible for conducting examinations, diagnosing health issues, and developing treatment plans. If you are committed to animal welfare and enjoy working with animals, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the health of animals through examinations and diagnostic tests.
  • Discuss pet care and welfare with owners, providing compassionate guidance.
  • Oversee administration of medications and therapies as needed.
  • Assist in staff training and development in veterinary procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene within the practice environment.
  • Attend veterinary conferences and continuing education to stay current in best practices.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and medications.
  • Collaborate with local shelters to support abandoned or stray animals.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Document patient histories and treatment plans accurately.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
  • Advanced training in a specialized field (orthopedics, dermatology) is advantageous
Experience
  • 5 years of experience working with various animal species is preferred
