Job Description

The Journeyman Tool and Die Maker will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining precision tools and dies used in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, machinists, and production teams to ensure that the tools and dies meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tooling and processes to improve production efficiency.
  • Conduct quality inspections of tools and dies to uphold standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues related to tooling.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and methods in toolmaking.
  • Maintain accurate records of tool and die production.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

Education
  • National N-Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Toolmaking
  • Trade Test Certificate as Journeyman Tool and Die Maker
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in toolmaking, including CNC programming.
