Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. Your responsibilities will include supporting educational activities, monitoring student progress, and helping to develop a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in classroom management and preparation of instructional materials.
• Support individual students and small groups during class activities.
• Help develop engaging lesson plans and adapt them to meet diverse learning needs.
• Conduct tutoring sessions and provide feedback on student work.
• Monitor student progress and report on academic performance to teachers.
• Facilitate a positive learning environment that encourages participation.
• Assist with administrative tasks as required by teachers.
• Collaborate with other staff to plan school-wide events and activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and resources.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Experience in teaching or tutoring is preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience working in an educational setting

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• Teaching Certification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
