Job Description

The Heat Treating Operator will be pivotal in operating and maintaining heat treating equipment to ensure metal and plastic parts undergo precise heat treatment processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the set-up, operation, and breakdown of heat treating equipment.
• Monitor process parameters and make adjustments as necessary.
• Document process variables and product specifications accurately.
• Conduct routine maintenance and assist with repairs on equipment.
• Engage in team discussions to optimize operational efficiency.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the Production Supervisor promptly.

Requirements

Education

• Technical Diploma in Metalworking or related field
• Higher education or certifications in metallurgy is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in heat treatment or manufacturing roles

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with ISO quality standards
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
