SOC Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SOC Analyst to join our vibrant team in Durban. The successful candidate will monitor and analyze security events, managing incident responses, and support our continuous improvement in cybersecurity operations.

Responsibilities

• Examine system logs and security incidents for anomalies.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding threats.
• Assist in building a comprehensive security awareness program.
• Manage tools and platforms that support our security operations.
• Coordinate response to security breaches effectively.
• Document processes and follow through on improving response times.
• Engage in threat-hunting exercises to preempt cyber attacks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Specific certifications in cybersecurity are preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in SOC operations

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
