We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our innovative team in Durban, specializing in chemical process design, optimization, and safety management. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective chemical processes that meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement process improvements for existing chemical operations.
• Perform risk assessments and establish safety protocols in the lab.
• Lead projects from conception to implementation, ensuring quality standards.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation of engineering processes.
• Participate in the development of technical training materials for staff.
• Conduct research on new chemical compounds and processes.
• Assist in the development of commercial products and market strategies.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain product quality controls.
• Provide technical support during the procurement process of raw materials.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
• Master's degree in a related field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant role
