Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of South African tax legislation and demonstrate the ability to provide sound tax planning and compliance advice to our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze financial documents for tax planning purposes.
  • Educate clients on tax-saving opportunities.
  • Implement tax strategies that minimize liabilities.
  • Provide guidance on international tax regulations as necessary.
  • Assist with training junior staff on taxation practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
  • Professional tax qualification is a plus
Experience
  • 4+ years in a tax consultancy role
Technical Skills
  • Tax return preparation
  • Tax compliance software
Soft Skills
  • Client management
  • Analytical skills
Certifications
  • Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is a plus
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Fluency in Afrikaans: Ability to converse in Afrikaans will be an advantage while dealing with clients.
  • Experience in forensic accounting: Hands-on experience in forensic accounting practices is beneficial.
