Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in structural design and analysis, along with experience in construction methodologies. You will play a critical role in planning, designing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are safe, sustainable, and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed calculations and layout plans for structural components.
• Evaluate existing structures and perform assessments for retrofitting.
• Ensure that designs adhere to safety standards and environmental considerations.
• Facilitate project meetings with stakeholders to discuss progress and changes.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation for review.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

• Reinforced Concrete Design

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer status
