Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, analysis, and management of various projects while collaborating with architects and contractors to ensure strong, safe structures.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review structural plans using CAD software.
• Assess structural data and create reports for internal and client review.
• Collaborate with local authorities on compliance and permit applications.
• Review construction practices for quality assurance.
• Develop innovative strategies for overcoming design challenges.
• Participate in the development of project budgets and timelines.
• Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant certifications would be beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years in structural engineering, preferably in commercial projects

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Microsoft Project

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
