Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will focus on providing expert advice on environmental regulations and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation. This role will involve conducting site assessments, developing environmental management plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review project proposals for environmental implications.
• Conduct stakeholder consultations regarding environmental issues.
• Provide recommendations for mitigating negative environmental impacts.
• Compile and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Document compliance with environmental regulations.
• Guide project teams on integrating sustainable practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree in Sustainability is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or compliance roles

• Environmental Impact Assessment

Certifications

• Greenhouse Gas Inventory Quantifier
• Environmental Management System (EMS) Certification
