Job Description

We are currently seeking a talented Structural Design Drafter to join our dynamic team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating detailed structural designs and collaborating with engineers to ensure that projects meet specifications and are structurally sound.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate drawings in compliance with industry standards.
• Support the Lead Structural Engineer in design development.
• Contribute to project planning and execution.
• Conduct research on new materials and technologies.
• Manage revisions and updates to existing drawings.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate design concepts through sketches and models.
• Help mentor junior drafters and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in structural design drafting

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software
• Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Certificate in Structural Design

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Hands-on Construction Experience: Practical experience on construction sites to understand the application of designs.
