Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations, and will be responsible for providing comprehensive tax planning and consultation for our diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information for tax filings.
• Develop and present tax seminars and workshops for client education.
• Conduct detailed tax audits to identify areas for improvement and compliance risks.
• Research and analyze tax laws to ensure accuracy in filings.
• Foster long-term relationships with clients through reliable, effective tax solutions.
• Prepare and respond to tax queries and audits from tax authorities.
• Monitor evolving tax strategies and advise clients on best practices.
• Assist in scenarios involving mergers, acquisitions, and business structuring from a tax perspective.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation is preferred

Experience

• Over 5 years of experience in tax roles within a corporate environment
